Location: Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve – Nature Trail to Quarry Trail
Clues for Your Hike
- From the parking area, carefully cross Mount Hope Road and turn left on the grass path in front of the log and stone cabin.
- At the Y in the path, keep right and follow the path right as it bends into the woods.
- Continue on the path, following the orange blazes (Nature Trail).
- At the next Y in the path, keep right.
- At the red sign with a map in a glass case, turn left heading uphill. You will now be following the red blazes (Quarry Trail).
- At the gravel roadway, go straight, crossing over the roadway and onto the grass path.
- Follow the grass path and almost immediately turn right, heading toward a gate.
- Go past the gate. The post will be located on a tree to the right of the path, just past the gate.
- Continue on the grass/dirt path toward the Quarry if you’d like to check it out and then turn around, heading the way you came and back to the gate.
- Pass the gate and head to the gravel roadway, crossing over it and going back to the path with the red blazes (Quarry Trail).
- Follow the path back to the red sign with a map in a glass case, and continue straight downhill as you follow the orange blazes (Nature Trail).
- Cross the wooden bridge and follow the path right, continuing to follow the orange blazes.
- You will cross three more bridges as you continue on the path.
- Before the pond, turn right at the handrail, following the path into the woods.
- Head toward Mount Hope Road and carefully cross the road back to the parking area.
